BUILD CONFIDENCE & DESTROY FEAR
by Shivam Sahu [MBA HR] Manager HR   Aircrews Aviation Pvt. Ltd.

What is confidence; it is nothing but absence of doubts, absence of doubts on you. To either doubt or not doubt yourself you need to know yourself in the first place.
1. Know Your True Self
Realize that which pervades the universe is indestructible; no power can affect this unchanging, imperishable reality. The body is mortal, but he who dwells in the body is immortal and immeasurable.
2. Anchor Yourself
Once you set priorities and work accordingly, you only will derive yourself worth from those things that are very important to you. Other things will not matter to you enough and will thus never dent yourself worth and self confidence.
3. Being Conscious About Your Actions
the value of the efforts made by you and you will also realize the numerous other factors that affect any outcome. As a result you will focus more on your actions for themselves and not the rewards they will supposedly yield.
4. Build Experience
The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.
According to Bhagwad gita, the famous Indian sculpture
उद्धरेदात्मनात्मानं नात्मानमवसादयेत् |
आत्मैव ह्यात्मनो बन्धुरात्मैव रिपुरात्मन: ||
Meaning: Elevate yourself through the power of your mind, and not degrade yourself, for the mind can be the friend and also the enemy of the self.
In order to be able to use it as a friend, it is important to understand the mind’s nature. Our mind operates at four levels:
Mind: When it creates thoughts, we call it mana, or the mind.
Intellect: When it analyses and decides, we call it buddhi, or intellect.
Chitta: When it gets attached to an object or person, we call it chitta.
Ego: When it identifies with the bodily identifications and becomes proud of things like wealth, status, beauty, and learning, we call it ahankār, or ego.
What is fear; a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or imagined; the feeling or condition of being afraid.
Fear is nothing but the lack of preparedness of your future action
If you always avoid situations that scare you, you might stop doing things you want or need to do. You won’t be able to test out whether the situation is always as bad as you expect, so you miss the chance to work out how to manage your fears and reduce your anxiety.
To start something new, you have to leave something behind. There is a fear of the unknown. The first step is to overcome your fear.
According to Bhagwad gita, the famous Indian sculpture
वीतरागभयक्रोधा मन्मया मामुपाश्रिता: |
बहवो ज्ञानतपसा पूता मद्भावमागता: ||
Meaning: Being freed from attachment, fear, and anger, becoming fully absorbed in me, and taking refuge in me, many persons in the past became purified by knowledge of me, and thus they attained my divine love.
The Bhagavad Gita continually stresses that fears are just a material illusion; our real focus should be on fulfilling our duties during our limited time on this planet. Do not abandon your duty because of material fears.
In the end I want to conclude to follow these points to stay confident and live life wisely.
Don't just learn, experience.
Don't just read, absorb.
Don't just change, transform.
Don't just relate, advocate.
Don't just promise, prove.
Don't just criticize, encourage
Don't just think, ponder.
Don't just take, give.
Don't just see, feel.
Don’t just dream, do.
Don't just hear, listen.
Don't just talk, act.
Don't just tell, show.
Don't just exist, live.
