• Earning the Companion Voucher: The Companion Voucher is typically earned by reaching a spending threshold on eligible purchases using the co-branded British Airways credit card within a specified timeframe.
• Spending Threshold: The spending threshold for earning the Companion Voucher varies depending on the specific credit card and promotional offers. Cardholders need to spend a certain amount within a specific period to qualify.
• Validity Period: Once earned, the Companion Voucher is typically valid for a limited period, usually 12 months.
• Companion Ticket Redemption: The Companion Voucher allows the cardholder to book a second ticket for a companion on a British Airways mainline flight departing from and returning to the UK.
• The cardholder must book and travel on the same flight as the companion.
7. Household Accounts:
• Members can create Household Accounts to pool Avios with family members residing at the same address, making it easier to accumulate and redeem Avios collectively.
• Eligibility: Members of the same household, including family members or individuals sharing the same address, can form a Household Account.
• Avios Pooling: Members of a Household Account can pool their Avios into a central account. This allows for a collective balance that can be used to redeem rewards such as flights, upgrades, and more.
• Pooling Restrictions: While Avios can be pooled into the central account, there are restrictions on transferring Avios out of the Household Account to individual Executive Club accounts. Typically, Avios can only be used for the benefit of Household Account members.
• Managing the Household Account: The main account holder, known as the "Head of Household," has control over the Household Account and can add or remove members as needed.
