Balancing My Time During the Internship at Asiatic International Corp

Balancing My Time During the Internship at Asiatic International Corp

When I started my internship at Asiatic International Corp on November 27th, 2024, I was stepping into a whole new world. The virtual assistant industry was uncharted territory for me, exciting, yet unfamiliar. As a clinical pharmacist with a focus on HIV and Tuberculosis management, my daily life was already packed with responsibilities. Adding an internship into the mix was a challenge I knew would test my limits, but it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.

Balancing two demanding roles, alongside making time for family, friends, and personal well-being, hasn’t been easy. Every day feels like a juggling act, and honestly, some days are more chaotic than others. But I’ve found a rhythm that works for me, and it’s helped me stay on track without burning out.

I started by sketching out mock schedules, then syncing them with my calendar. It sounds simple, but it’s been a game changer. My weekdays kick off early with clinical work from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Some days are straightforward, but others especially when I’m on call can stretch into 24-hour shifts. It’s intense, but I make it a point to wrap up all tasks before heading home, reducing any leftover work.

Once I’m home, I take a breather. From 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, I focus on relaxing whether it’s catching up on a show or just lying down for a bit. After that, it’s time to switch gears and dive into my internship tasks. I try to get through everything on my plate for the day, so things don’t pile up. Keeping ahead of deadlines keeps me sane and allows me to give my best to both roles.

Wednesdays are special. From 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, I carve out time for sports. Whether it’s a quick game or just some exercise, this slot is non-negotiable. It keeps me active and clears my mind. It’s my way of ensuring I stay fit and energized because, let’s face it, none of this would be possible if I’m not taking care of myself.

Managing my time like this hasn’t been perfect, and there are days when things don’t go as planned. But this structure helps me keep things together. It’s taught me that discipline and self-care are key to handling multiple responsibilities. This internship, alongside my work as a pharmacist, has been a lesson in resilience and adaptability, and I’m grateful for the growth it’s brought me.
