Mr. Shyam have Rs. 50 lakhs in his bank account at present. His two very dear friends Mr. Rohan and Mr. Mohan have a startup plan and want Mr. Shyam to invest in their business. Shyam knows that charging interest on basis of compound interest would gain him more profit. So, he would lend it on CI charging his interest rate of 5%. But Rohan & Mohan convinced him to charge them SI as he is a very dear friend. Finally, Shyam agreed to lend them 50% of the amount on the basis of simple interest and the remaining amount on the basis of compound interest, But on a condition that the interest rate would be 8% in this case. Which method should Rohan and Mohan would choose and why?

Option two – he has to buy the property in cash once he saves the required amount.
