A Successful Blog means that you have a lot of Traffic to your site which is what you

should focus on.

As a relatively new Blogger myself, I too have been focused in increasing Traffic to my website.

It doesn't matter if you Write the most amazing content on the internet, if you do not have eyeballs on it your message will be lost.

I have slowly gained traction building Traffic and these are the things that I found have helped tremendously getting there. :

Don't get discouraged. This is a long game play and if you are obsessed with stats right from the beginning you may become disenchanted with Blogging and quit prematurely (most Blogs die off within 6 months). It takes time to build an audience and from what I read it is in year Two that you Start to see the benefits of your hard Work.

Find Blogs that are Successful in the same niche as what your Blog is in. Read their posts and most of all comment in them. Those Blogs already have your target audience

reading them. If you Write great comments then there is a chance they will migrate to your site to check it out and hopefully become repeat visitorsNeed to be consistent in

posting.

It is nice to get subscribers to your Blog because that is a sign that your Blog is interesting enough that someone is willing to give you their email. Also will have a steady population that will visit your site for pretty much every post you put out. There is a fine line between being super annoying with pop-up requests to sign up for your Blog

and letting People know they need to subscribe. I find that mailmunch is one of the least intrusive ones that allows you to put it on the bottom of your page (that can be clicked

off) and in your side bar. (check out my Blog; Home ? XRAYVSN to see how I have it set up). I also do have a pop-up that shows 1x every 2 weeks so that it is not annoying like

the ones I sometimes see daily from other websites.

Always interact with your viewers. If someone takes time to Write a comment you should always respond. It builds a connection and they are more likely to come back again and

comment more (comments are actually my favorite part of Blogging).
