How to Manage things Better As Manager by Anushka Bansal Manager HR Aircrews Aviation Pvt Ltd

How to Manage things Better As Manager
MANAGER: A manager is a person who manages
or is in charge of something.Manage can control departments in companies, or guide the people who work for them. Managers must often make decisions about things.
To manage things better as manager , the manager must know how to manage people i.e  They must have people management skills.

Manager can build his/her people management skills by making small changes in their mindset and their perspective on problems. The following tips will help them to think about tweaks they can make in their own process to be a more effective and successful manager.
1. People management starts with listening, and listening starts before you think it does.
We think of good listening as something that happens between the beginning and end of a conversation: being attentive, making eye contact, taking notes, and waiting for the other person to finish before you start to talk. And those are all parts of the listening skill set that you should practice.
But good listening is essential to the management role, and it starts before you even sit down to talk to an employee. Keys to listening well include keeping an open mind and not jumping to conclusions before or during conversations, according to Dianne Schilling, an expert on emotional intelligence.
This means you can't assume what an employee is thinking, what their problem is, or what the solution to their problem is - you have to let go of your preconceived notions, and you need to ask them. Even if they think the cause of a problem is obvious, a great manager listens with the intent of understanding as much about the situation as possible; they don't just barge in with a possible solution. Prep for meetings, but don't go in thinking you know all the answers.
2. Learn to separate personal problems from organizational problems.
Employees are going to have problems and you are going to have to help solve them. But not all problems are created equal. The root causes of workplace problems often fall into two categories: personal and organizational. They may manifest the same way when talking to one or a few employees, but understanding the difference will save you from a disproportionate response. Treating an organizational problem like a personal one is like putting a bandaid on a broken window. Similarly, treating a personal problem like an organizational one is like remodeling your kitchen to become a better cook.
Personal problems might be:
  • an employee's individual workload
  • an employee's problem with their process
  • an employee's dissatisfaction with their team members or performance
  • an employee's unhappiness with work due to a desire to change projects
These problems, when they occur with one (or a few) employees, can be corrected with your people management skills and no significant reorganization. On the other hand, organizational problems are entrenched and can't be solved by problem-solving one employee's problem.
Organizational problems might be:
  • teams unable to cope with demands of workload collectively
  • workflow problems frequently resulting in errors or delays company- or team-wide
  • infighting or hostility between team members because of overall poor performance
  • many employees feeling disempowered to take control of their work projects and career paths
These issues stem from inherent problems in the organization of the company. Managers need to use their people management skills to comprehend the organizational problem behind the above problems, while still people-managing to keep employees' heads above water until the problem is truly fixed.
3. Understand each employee's purpose.
To communicate with employees and empathize with them, you have to understand what draws them to their role and what joy they derive from their work; i.e., their purpose. Purpose is a huge part of what keeps people satisfied at work and what drives them to succeed and push themselves professionally. Knowing why an employee feels connected to their role and why they're inspired to be an individual contributor to the business through it helps you as a manager understand how to help them succeed in a way that also benefits the company.
People want to work on projects where they believe they can do well, and when they're given the opportunity to do what they do best, they feel more connected to their work. Pinpointing exactly what an employee likes about their role — or why they may be striving for a promotion/ to take on a new role — allows you to frame solutions in a way that helps employees see how your solution will take them towards their goal, and how they have some of the tools they need to enact that solution.
For example, two engineers are both struggling with a project they work on. One isn't interested in the end result of the project, and doesn't feel motivated to complete the work. The other enjoys the project and the collaborative aspect of pair programming, but isn't getting along at all with their pair programming partner.
That first engineer might need to be taken off the project entirely, or at least be given other work to help them move in a direction that suits their interest. But to take the second off the project would be taking them away from work they like — instead, making sure they're rotated to a new partner who will boost their morale. Assuming that both engineers would need to be reassigned or both would need to be repaired would ignore the big picture: that those engineers have different purposes, and therefore different underlying problems.
4. Balance praise and criticism wisely.
Although it may seem easier to give praise than criticism, studies show that theory doesn't hold water when it comes to the workplace. One survey revealed that 44% of managers said giving negative feedback was stressful, but a shocking 40% of the same group never gave positive reinforcement.
Employees need a balance of both praise and criticism in order to thrive. If you only give praise for good work, you're a straw man that frustrates employees because you don't help them grow. But only criticism and your employees will be on-edge and demoralized.
The Harvard Business Review says a good rule of thumb is to give more praise than criticism, showing that top teams generally have a regular flow of compliments:
This doesn't mean lying to your employees about how well they're doing or forgoing constructive comments. Rather, it's about recognizing when, where and how to give praise. Efforts by employees should be rewarded regularly and in a timely fashion. Public praise, private praise and special tokens (like employee of the month awards or other recognitions) are all people management tools that build trust and morale.
Criticism, like praise, should be timely. Rather than simply pointing to errors, good managers will give feedback by helping employees find solutions to work through their weaknesses. By helping employees set new goals, you signal that you believe in their ability to improve and are willing to help them course-correct. Just don't forget to finish on a positive note!
5. Never leave a meeting without asking employees this open-ended question.
Whether it's a quarterly performance review or prep for a client meeting, you should always “end every important conversation with, "Is there anything else?”, according to David Hauser, founder of Grasshopper, in his 2017 SaaSFest talk.
Whatever is top of mind — their biggest challenges — will come out first. It can give employees an opening to ask for help rather than waiting until a big meeting where you try and go through all their highs and lows. It also keeps you in the loop on their development and their work without them feeling like you're micromanaging.
Perhaps most importantly, this tip is an easy way to build trust with your employees and be a better manager. It signals that you care and want to know about their problems, even if it's not explicitly on the agenda. People management relies on interpersonal relationships, and building those out of every meeting is a great way to connect.
6. Check in when nothing is wrong.
Picture this: you're an employee who has had pretty smooth sailing thus far. But suddenly, you end up with a big problem on your most recent project. Since you don't regularly speak to your manager, you don't really know how to approach them, or what to expect. Should you email or Slack DM? Will they yell at you? Do you need to write up a brief? You're stressed in your time of need!
Luckily, managers have the power to prevent putting their employee in such a stressful situation by checking in when nothing is wrong. Regular meetings set an expectation of communication and provide an easy space for employees to turn to when the going gets rough.
Meeting once a week is ideal, but even biweekly meetings will help. Running a 1:1 doesn't have to be complicated, either — especially when things are smooth sailing, they can be a place to check in on goals and get to know your employees. And you'll be more likely to put out fires before they threaten to engulf a project or client relationship, too.
Bottom line: don't leave things to chance
Where good managers step in as needed to keep teams running and employees motivated, great managers are proactive and attuned to the needs of their workplace. Employees are not going to magically solve all their disputes and find their perfect path to develop to reach their career goals — it's your job to get them there. Whether you're reassigning engineers or listening empathetically, you as a leader have a responsibility to be proactive about managing the people side of business.

How to Work Faster and Smarter by Isha Srivastava [MBA-HR] Manager HR Aircrews Aviation Pvt. Ltd.

How to Work  Faster and Smarter
by
Isha Srivastava [MBA-HR]     Manager HR   Aircrews Aviation Pvt. Ltd.

Do you want to work faster and smarter? It seems like an impossible task when you to-do list is as long as your arm and the work is still piling up, but the reality is that often the common methods we choose when working are not the most productive ones.
1.   AVOID MULTITASKING
Although a small amount  of people are great at multitasking just reduces efficiency. Doing two task at once means you are more likely to make little mistakes, as your brain is jumping from task to task. Focus on one task and fully complete it before moving on to the next one in order to produce better quality work in same amount of time – or less!
2.   TURN OFF YOUR NON ESSENTIAL TECHNOLOGY
Nowadays technology is a huge part of most people’s working day,but in real it can slow you down. When are you most productive during your working day?Whether it is in the morning or early in the afternoon, schedule two hours to put your phone on silent and switch off your email notifications.      You can ring and email people back once the time is over, but during that time you will work faster because you choose to only focus on your work.

3.   SHUT THE DOOR WHILE YOU WORK
Many companies have an open door policy at work to encourage openness. However, if ou want to work faster, close your door for atleast few hours during the day. Interruption and distractions are much more likely to happen if the door is open, so cut out the temptation if you want to have an extra productive day.

4.   SET A FINISH TIME
If you know you will be leaving the office at 6, it will help you work more efficiently until then. Knowing you have a deadline will help you to prioritize tasks, as well as making you less likely to procrastinate.

5.   PRE-PLAN BREAKS
Taking a short breaks helps you to stay focused so that you work faster and smarter. If you don’t schedule them into your day, you can end up taking breaks that are too long, or not taking any at all, which can result in you becoming stressed or working to a lower standard.                                                   Try to spend your break productively – stretch your legs and make a cup of tea, rather than logging onto Facebook.

Difference between being Successful and being Happy by Shaivali Tripathi MBA Manager HR AirCrews Aviation Pvt Ltd

What is the Difference between being Successful and being Happy?
What is Success?
Is it wealth? Is it happiness? Is it fame?
Success simply means attempting to move forward.
If you believe you can, you will succeed. Self-belief doesn’t come naturally to everyone, so if you’re able to tell yourself that you can achieve the goals in your plans, you’re doing great.
Success can be achieved when you try your best in all aspects of everything you do, even if that doesn’t lead to big results. If you’ve done your best, you should feel proud of your efforts.

What is Happiness?
Many people believe that happiness is having fun at a party, the excitement of new experiences,or the delights of a fine meal. These are all wonderful experiences to be cherished and cultivated but they are not happiness.
These experiences are the definition of pleasure.
if happiness is not the same thing as pleasure, then what is happiness?
happiness comes when you feel satisfied and fulfilled. Happiness is a feeling of contentment, that life is just as it should be. Perfect happiness, enlightenment, comes when you have all of your needs satisfied.
Now the question arises are the successful person always happy?
Success and happiness are two entirely different concepts so doesn’t necessarily mean that a successful person will always be happy or vice versa.
For me real success is doing whatever you want, whenever you want but for happiness you need company to share your happiness with, you need people that really care for you, feel for you.  A successful person will have something else to achieve, if he is not satisfied with his success he won’t be happy. As the life goes our desire to stay happy never ends . You will have lot of obstacles coming through your way.
Our achievements have their own set point. When we achieve them, we feel happy but this happiness doesn’t often last. Once the condition is met, we start looking for that next goal to pursue.
To understand this concept more we should know the difference among these two :
Happiness is a goal that many people aspire to. Most people also have a strong desire to be successful in life and they tend to believe that through this success they will automatically become happier.
While we may never know with 100% certainty which one is more important, we do know that success and happiness are inextricably linked.
- Success means living a life with plans. Happiness is living a life with passion.
- Success is working for your own betterment. Happiness is working for others.
- Success means striving for more. Happiness is being contented with whatever you have.
- Success is having enough wealth. Happiness is in having healthy relationships.
- Success goal is Winning at any cost
Happiness is doing things the “right way” and having a clear conscience
- Success focus on obsessed with material possessions
Happiness focus on keeping good karma front and center

Which One is More Important?
When it comes right down to it, success and monetary wealth don’t necessarily equate to happiness and security.
It doesn’t do you much good in terms of your level of happiness if you are successful monetarily, but miserable in your personal life.
On the other hand, you may be incredibly happy with your personal life or other relationships, but still struggling with success or struggling financially.
Both of these indicators are interconnected in a sense. Happiness affects your level of success and your level of success affects your happiness.
Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.
Success is getting what you want; happiness is wanting what you get.

BE A GOOD LEADER AND ITS IMPORTANCE- By PATRICIA PERSIS EMMANUAL

WHAT IT IS TO BE A GOOD LEADER AND ITS IMPORTANCE-
By
PATRICIA PERSIS EMMANUAL
It’s important to demonstrate an original personal understanding of leadership concept and provide impressive illustrative examples taken from today’s real life or history. That’s the
best thing to do when reviewing various leadership qualities. All business owners and executives have varying experiences and perspectives on the approach and qualities necessary for
effective leadership. And not all situations require the same type of leadership style. Great leaders adapt to their surrounding environments and empower the team to succeed together.
Many experts across countless leadership books and articles agree on certain principles required for leading a team to greatness, but when it comes down to it, the most important factor is
whether or not the leader is getting the job done.
My philosophies on leadership have evolved over time through research, experiences in combat as a Navy SEAL and from my successes and failures running my own businesses. I believe that the
best leaders are passionate about developing the emerging leaders around them, they constantly work to improve their emotional intelligence and know that a strong team culture is the foundation
for accomplishing the mission. They are in a perpetual state of preparation and embrace the inevitable changes their businesses will face.
When we take an in-depth look at history, we see countless leadership qualities that were adopted by both good and bad leaders. When writing what are the qualities of a good leader, you
should focus on the characteristics and strengths of a leader, and how they help influence and motivate other people along with achieving their own goals.
These are emotional and behavioral characteristics of well-known leaders that helped them succeed:
1.Vision – effective leaders have exciting ideas, they usually are forward-looking, and have excellent strategic planning skills.
2.Communication – communicating ideas clearly and concisely is essential to ensure teamwork towards the same goal.
3.Integrity – they are honest and can always tell the truth in any situation.
4.Confidence – they dare to take risks to achieve their goals and never give up.
5.Responsiveness – good leaders value their team, listen to people they lead, and quickly change their behavior to match different situations.
6.Determination – good leaders are passionate about what they do and can motivate people by demonstrating their own commitment.
7.Empathy is the most important skill which allows to create strong bonds of trust and build successful teams.
8.Have Faith in Their Beliefs
"It's a mix of a lot of things, but first and foremost it's about having faith in your beliefs. You can't expect others to consider you a leader unless you have solid faith in your ideas.
And once it's there, you build on it by being a good communicator, listening to others, setting examples and by putting your best foot forward and not giving up. Leadership is all about being
passionate about what you do, and having confidence in yourself and your followers whom you have to motivate and inspire."
9.Make the Hard Choice
“Great leaders make the hard choice, and self-sacrifice in order to enhance the lives of others around them. As a business owner, not only does your family rely on you - so too, do the
families of those who work for you. Each employee has a family. Even if you're a small business owner with four employees, you're in essence potentially responsible for an additional ten or fifteen people.”
10.Earn the Respect of the Team
“Having the ability to show respect, empathy, and care to those that follow you, are all attributed to being a great leader. Earning respect is crucial to a successful relationship with
someone, while also showing that you care about their work or ideas. Being empathetic allows a leader to tap into the emotions of that individual in order to connect in a way that lets that
a person knows you understand what it means to be in their situation. Combining all three of these traits can definitely make someone a great leader.
11.Know the Team
"Knowing the strengths and weaknesses of every individual to effectively manage the outcome of a team is imperative for success. Leaders have a great vision and use the resources at hand
to solve problems. They take risks and make hard decisions, knowing they could sometimes be wrong. Those are the most important qualities of a real leader that work similarly in our professional
and personal lives."
12.Articulate a Clear Vision
“A great leader possess a clear vision, is courageous, has integrity, honesty, humility and clear focus. He or she is a strategic planner and believes in teamwork. Great leaders help people
reach their goals, are not afraid to hire people that might be better than them and take pride in the accomplishments of those they help along the way.”
13.Push People to Be Their Best
"Great leaders have clarity of purpose and are great at articulating their beliefs. I aspire to be the kind of leader that pushes people to be the very best they can be but still make
people feel safe because it starts with the heart."
14.Serve a Greater Cause
“Great leadership is determined by one’s periodical blend of personal humility and unparalleled will to lead others in service of a cause bigger than themselves. Great leaders are incredibly
ambitious, but never for themselves. Rather, they are ambitious for the company and possess the will do do whatever is necessary in service of this greater cause.”
15.Do Not Lead by Force
“A great leader does not lead by forcing people to follow. Instead, a great leader motivates people. They encourage others to follow them. They also lead by example, which few leaders do
today.”

Dream Big Work Smart

DREAM BIG & WORK SMART
Some people dream of success, while other people get up every morning and make it happen”
So many people live within unhappy situations and circumstances. We often get used to the negative situations we are in and we get comfortable and secure. Some individuals make it a habit to complain that others have more than them, or that others have it better and easier. The truth is…a lot of people want to be successful until they see what it actually takes to get there. If you want to change your life, then start setting goals and make a realistic plan to achieve it. Give up on excuses and let go of your past. Start with what you have now and take responsibility for your actions. Stop wallowing in the blame game and victim cycle. Be grateful for what is going right in your life and what you are blessed with and be happy for others. Learn from successful people and adopt their work ethics. If you want to be like them, then you have to start working like them. Moreover, adopt their mindset, learn from their mistakes, improve and be better. If you want to achieve a goal, then put in extra hours to get where you want to be.  In other words, don’t let your circumstances define who you are, where you are and what you do. Define yourself!
People who wake up without a plan often procrastinate as half of their day is already gone by the time they start doing their work. Do you set goals?  I set new goals regularly and I revaluate my methods to progress. Start evaluating your life too. Look back at the progress you have made so far and the “mistakes” you have made before. Learn from the past and figure out a plan so you can avoid the setbacks this time around. Be honest with yourself. Start thinking about how you want to change or improve your habits and methods. You don’t need to be perfect! Let go of thoughts that inhibit your growth.
“A goal should scare you a little and excite you a lot.” – Joe Vitale.Do you wake up every morning and feel excited for what you will be doing? What would you like to do more of in your life right now? Set goals that make you want to get out of bed in the morning and work smart to achieve them. Moreover, your goals should reflect your values. Start by using S.M.A.R.T goals setting. Set Specific and Measurable goals. By adding details to your goals, you are developing a clear understanding of what has to be achieved. Be realistic and break your bigger goals into mini goals. Make a programme and set time every week to work on each goal. Moreover, start to think about the specific things you would need in order to achieve these goals. Set a goal accomplishment date for your goal and start by writing down at least three actions steps for each goal to meet your own deadlines (you can add more as you progress). Track your habits and progress. Additionally, visualize your goals! Make a vision board and write down your goals for the year in your personal planner. This is so important!
"DREAM BIG! THERE ARE NO LIMITATIONS TO HOW GOOD YOU CAN BECOME OR HOW HIGH YOU CAN RISE EXCEPT THE LIMITS YOU PUT ON YOURSELF"
The basic rule for success is for you to continue to remind yourself that you are where you are, and what you are because of yourself. You are in your current situation because you have decided to be there.
"Positive Thinking Will Change Your Life"
Here is another rule:  “If you want your life to get better, you have to get better.”
This simply means that your outer world will be a reflection of your inner world. If you want your outer world to improve, you must go to work on improving your inner world.
The great tragedy is that the world is full of people who are trying to change the outside world without going to work on the one thing that they can control, their own thinking!
"Change Your Thinking"
Here is another rule: “If you change the quality of your thinking, you change the quality of your life.”
And since you can change the quality of your thinking almost infinitely, there are no limits on how you can change and improve every part of your life, in any direction you want to go.
"The Power of Positive Knowing"
What is better than positive thinking is “positive knowledge.”
This is where you take the steps and do the things that bring you to the point where you absolutely know, with complete certainty, that you can achieve your goals and be the kind of success that it is possible for you to be.
"Dream Big, You Have No Limits"
A wise man once said, “You must dream big dreams for only big dreams have the power to move the minds of men.”
The starting point of great success and achievement has always been the same. It is for you to, “dream big dreams.”
There is nothing more important, and nothing that works faster than for you to cast off your own limitations and begin dreaming and fantasizing about the wonderful things that you can become and have and do.

Habits of Big Dreamers, by - Shraddha Kumari

HABITS OF BIG DREAMERS
by
- Shraddha Kumari
" DREAM BIGGER WITH HABITUAL "
What does it take for a big dreamer? Do big dreamers come from other planets? Do they have wings? Do they different from us? No just a simple No. They are  just the same as others just they have different "HABITS" Which transform themselves into big dreamers. Developing the habit of thinking big on a daily basis requires a little work and effort.
It’s not something that will happen over-night, but it is something that will happen over-time as you apply the following big thinking strategies consistently and meticulously.
Cultivation is the Key
Thinking big consistently and effortlessly will come over time. Like any habit, it requires us to develop a plethora of supporting habits that will help us to think big far more effectively.
Empowering Language
The language you use on a daily basis is simply a reflection of your thoughts. If your words are riddled with complaining, worrying and criticizing your life circumstances, then you can expect that your life will undoubtedly be a direct reflection of these words. If on the other hand, you begin using empowering words and phrases that are focused on solutions, ideas and on expanding possibilities, then your life will also be a reflection of this type of language.
Big Ideas, Plans, and Goals
When setting goals and lay down plans of action don’t settle for safety. Think instead of goals that will help expand your comfort zone, push your limits and stretch your imagination — freeing your mind to think big. Life is after all too short for anything else.
Forward Thinking
Thinking big requires forward-thinking. Big thinkers think several steps ahead, several moves in advance and several years into the future. They understand that life is simply like a game of chess. If you do not have the ability to think several moves ahead, then you haven’t as yet successfully cultivated the habit of thinking big.
Indispensable Qualities
Thinking big requires us to cultivate several key qualities and traits that will enable us to think bigger and better than ever before about our life and circumstances. These qualities include passion, courage, optimism, persistence, discipline, and enthusiasm.
Unshakable Belief
Thinking big requires a set of unshakable beliefs that magically convince you that whatever you can conceptualize in your mind, you can realize in the physical world. Hence you must believe that.
DREAM IS A HABIT- CULTIVATE IT, after developing the habits living with those habits are the core for achieving Dreams. Living in your dreams is the key to turning them into reality.
The one major factor that separates the most successful people from the rest begins with a single thought. This single thought — if cultivated — grows over time into the empowering habit of thinking big that eventually takes over this person’s psychology, and propels them towards the achievement of their goals and objectives.keep in mind that over years this single thought is analyzed, criticized and condemned by others. People believe that this thought is impossible, improbable and undeniably unimaginable. They say that the thought is unorthodox and bordering on crazy. And so this single thought must overcome great obstacles, setbacks, problems, and difficulties before it can realize its full potential. After all, this single thought understands that in order to grow BIG and expand, that it must accept the harsh realities of life and respond by growing long and strong roots that will support its tremendous weight as it stretches towards the sky. Yes, this single thought knows very well indeed that to think big, is to do big.
We can see in our film industry one of the superstars turns their dream into reality.
What makes SHAH RUKH KHAN to turn into a BIG SUPERSTAR . Journey from a simple Delhi boy to King Khan of Bollywood. In almost 30 years, Khan has made more than 80 films. India calls him the “King of Bollywood”. He is one of the rulers in the Indian film industry in Mumbai, which annually throws around 1000 feature films on the market. His dedication to his work made him successful. His dream of becoming a superstar turns into reality with rigorous work and habits of success.
In this world there are thousands of people who opted for the habits of Big dreamer just like SHAH RUKH KHAN.
So just FOCUS ON THE HABITS OF BIG DREAMER AND FOLLOW UP THOSE.
