How to Work Faster and Smarter by Isha Srivastava [MBA-HR] Manager HR Aircrews Aviation Pvt. Ltd.

How to Work  Faster and Smarter
by
Isha Srivastava [MBA-HR]     Manager HR   Aircrews Aviation Pvt. Ltd.

Do you want to work faster and smarter? It seems like an impossible task when you to-do list is as long as your arm and the work is still piling up, but the reality is that often the common methods we choose when working are not the most productive ones.
1.   AVOID MULTITASKING
Although a small amount  of people are great at multitasking just reduces efficiency. Doing two task at once means you are more likely to make little mistakes, as your brain is jumping from task to task. Focus on one task and fully complete it before moving on to the next one in order to produce better quality work in same amount of time – or less!
2.   TURN OFF YOUR NON ESSENTIAL TECHNOLOGY
Nowadays technology is a huge part of most people’s working day,but in real it can slow you down. When are you most productive during your working day?Whether it is in the morning or early in the afternoon, schedule two hours to put your phone on silent and switch off your email notifications.      You can ring and email people back once the time is over, but during that time you will work faster because you choose to only focus on your work.

3.   SHUT THE DOOR WHILE YOU WORK
Many companies have an open door policy at work to encourage openness. However, if ou want to work faster, close your door for atleast few hours during the day. Interruption and distractions are much more likely to happen if the door is open, so cut out the temptation if you want to have an extra productive day.

4.   SET A FINISH TIME
If you know you will be leaving the office at 6, it will help you work more efficiently until then. Knowing you have a deadline will help you to prioritize tasks, as well as making you less likely to procrastinate.

5.   PRE-PLAN BREAKS
Taking a short breaks helps you to stay focused so that you work faster and smarter. If you don’t schedule them into your day, you can end up taking breaks that are too long, or not taking any at all, which can result in you becoming stressed or working to a lower standard.                                                   Try to spend your break productively – stretch your legs and make a cup of tea, rather than logging onto Facebook.

BE A GOOD LEADER AND ITS IMPORTANCE- By PATRICIA PERSIS EMMANUAL

WHAT IT IS TO BE A GOOD LEADER AND ITS IMPORTANCE-
By
PATRICIA PERSIS EMMANUAL
It’s important to demonstrate an original personal understanding of leadership concept and provide impressive illustrative examples taken from today’s real life or history. That’s the
best thing to do when reviewing various leadership qualities. All business owners and executives have varying experiences and perspectives on the approach and qualities necessary for
effective leadership. And not all situations require the same type of leadership style. Great leaders adapt to their surrounding environments and empower the team to succeed together.
Many experts across countless leadership books and articles agree on certain principles required for leading a team to greatness, but when it comes down to it, the most important factor is
whether or not the leader is getting the job done.
My philosophies on leadership have evolved over time through research, experiences in combat as a Navy SEAL and from my successes and failures running my own businesses. I believe that the
best leaders are passionate about developing the emerging leaders around them, they constantly work to improve their emotional intelligence and know that a strong team culture is the foundation
for accomplishing the mission. They are in a perpetual state of preparation and embrace the inevitable changes their businesses will face.
When we take an in-depth look at history, we see countless leadership qualities that were adopted by both good and bad leaders. When writing what are the qualities of a good leader, you
should focus on the characteristics and strengths of a leader, and how they help influence and motivate other people along with achieving their own goals.
These are emotional and behavioral characteristics of well-known leaders that helped them succeed:
1.Vision – effective leaders have exciting ideas, they usually are forward-looking, and have excellent strategic planning skills.
2.Communication – communicating ideas clearly and concisely is essential to ensure teamwork towards the same goal.
3.Integrity – they are honest and can always tell the truth in any situation.
4.Confidence – they dare to take risks to achieve their goals and never give up.
5.Responsiveness – good leaders value their team, listen to people they lead, and quickly change their behavior to match different situations.
6.Determination – good leaders are passionate about what they do and can motivate people by demonstrating their own commitment.
7.Empathy is the most important skill which allows to create strong bonds of trust and build successful teams.
8.Have Faith in Their Beliefs
"It's a mix of a lot of things, but first and foremost it's about having faith in your beliefs. You can't expect others to consider you a leader unless you have solid faith in your ideas.
And once it's there, you build on it by being a good communicator, listening to others, setting examples and by putting your best foot forward and not giving up. Leadership is all about being
passionate about what you do, and having confidence in yourself and your followers whom you have to motivate and inspire."
9.Make the Hard Choice
“Great leaders make the hard choice, and self-sacrifice in order to enhance the lives of others around them. As a business owner, not only does your family rely on you - so too, do the
families of those who work for you. Each employee has a family. Even if you're a small business owner with four employees, you're in essence potentially responsible for an additional ten or fifteen people.”
10.Earn the Respect of the Team
“Having the ability to show respect, empathy, and care to those that follow you, are all attributed to being a great leader. Earning respect is crucial to a successful relationship with
someone, while also showing that you care about their work or ideas. Being empathetic allows a leader to tap into the emotions of that individual in order to connect in a way that lets that
a person knows you understand what it means to be in their situation. Combining all three of these traits can definitely make someone a great leader.
11.Know the Team
"Knowing the strengths and weaknesses of every individual to effectively manage the outcome of a team is imperative for success. Leaders have a great vision and use the resources at hand
to solve problems. They take risks and make hard decisions, knowing they could sometimes be wrong. Those are the most important qualities of a real leader that work similarly in our professional
and personal lives."
12.Articulate a Clear Vision
“A great leader possess a clear vision, is courageous, has integrity, honesty, humility and clear focus. He or she is a strategic planner and believes in teamwork. Great leaders help people
reach their goals, are not afraid to hire people that might be better than them and take pride in the accomplishments of those they help along the way.”
13.Push People to Be Their Best
"Great leaders have clarity of purpose and are great at articulating their beliefs. I aspire to be the kind of leader that pushes people to be the very best they can be but still make
people feel safe because it starts with the heart."
14.Serve a Greater Cause
“Great leadership is determined by one’s periodical blend of personal humility and unparalleled will to lead others in service of a cause bigger than themselves. Great leaders are incredibly
ambitious, but never for themselves. Rather, they are ambitious for the company and possess the will do do whatever is necessary in service of this greater cause.”
15.Do Not Lead by Force
“A great leader does not lead by forcing people to follow. Instead, a great leader motivates people. They encourage others to follow them. They also lead by example, which few leaders do
today.”

Dream Big Work Smart by Swapnil Chaurasia MBA

DREAM BIG WORK SMART
by
- SWAPNIL CHAURASIA
Some people dream of success, while other people get up every morning and make it happen” –  Swapnil
So many people live within unhappy situations and circumstances. We often get used to the negative situations we are in and we get comfortable and secure. Some individuals
make it a habit to complain that others have more than them, or that others have it better and easier. The truth is a lot of people want to be successful until they see what it
actually takes to get there. If you want to change your life, then start setting goals and make a realistic plan to achieve it. Give up on excuses and let go of your past. Start
with what you have now and take responsibility for your actions. Stop wallowing in the blame game and victim cycle. Be grateful for what is going right in your life and what you
are blessed with and be happy for others. Learn from successful people and adopt their work ethics.
"Success can mean different things to different people " we can choose to be defined by our past or we can work to improve our mindset to improve our present and future.
The First step is to be aware of our self-sabotage and the barriers that we have put in front of us. Accept that you are your worst enemy when it comes to organizing yourself for success.
Don’t blame others for your shortcomings, instead realize that the only person responsible for your future is you!
People who wake up without a plan often procrastinate as half of their day is already gone by the time they start doing their work. Do you set goals? I set new goals regularly and I reevaluate my methods to progress. Start evaluating your life too. Look back at the progress you have made so far and the “mistakes” you have made before. Learn from the past and figure
out a plan so you can avoid the setbacks this time around. Be honest with yourself. Start thinking about how you want to change or improve your habits and methods. You don’t need to be perfect! Don’t be scared to start a new chapter in your life. Decide where you want to be and have the courage to pursue your goals passionately. Differentiate between purpose and profession."Trust your instincts and go for it".
